The Canine Couture of Piegatto

A year ago, I embarked on an adventure with Piegatto, warmly welcomed by Analuz and Alejandro, the dynamic duo who usually helm our creative photoshoots. As the newest member of the team, I was given a golden opportunity to develop a fresh concept for our next photoshoot. Naturally, I decided to challenge myself: humans were so 2022, this year, it was all about the dogs!

The inspiration for our dog-centric photoshoot stemmed from the universal love and majesty that dogs embody. At Piegatto, we believe our furniture should resonate with every member of the family, including our beloved pets. Despite our name, which amusingly translates to "feet cat" when broken down into Spanish, our hearts beat for dogs. Our founders, Alejandro and Sandra, are proud parents of three children: two humans and Osho, their charming white boxer who has claimed everyone's hearts.

So, with Osho as our muse, we set out to elevate dogs to the status of elegant models showcasing our furniture. The goal was to illustrate that our designs are meant for every family member, four-legged ones included. However, the road to this vision was far from smooth. Finding human models? Easy. You call them, conduct a casting, and choose the perfect fit. Finding dog models in Guatemala? That's a whole different ball game. The options were limited, and we had to take a leap of faith, hoping that no unexpected critters (like a possum) would crash our shoot.

On the day of the photoshoot, our doggy models arrived, and they were nothing short of delightful. We had a regal beagle, an adorable black small dog, a playful Irish setter puppy, and our star, Osho. The idea was to capture their elegance and charm, with a touch of human assistance, to showcase an alternative household setup for young couples and their best friends.

The dogs, though initially curious and playful, soon adapted to the camera, channeling their inner supermodels. The beagle struck a pose next to our sleek, modern couch, while the black small dog lounged gracefully on a chic bench. The Irish setter puppy added a touch of youthful exuberance, making our dining table look even more inviting. And Osho, with his regal demeanor, effortlessly demonstrated that our sophisticated furniture is indeed for every family member.

As the shoot progressed, it became evident that dogs are natural models. They exuded an effortless grace and warmth that perfectly complemented our furniture. The human models, who were there to assist, found themselves more in awe of their canine counterparts than the other way around.

The final images were nothing short of spectacular. Each photo radiated a sense of harmony and elegance, capturing the essence of a modern household where dogs are cherished members of the family. Our furniture looked more inviting than ever, promising comfort and style for everyone, whether they walk on two legs or four.

Reflecting on this unique experience, I couldn't be more proud of the results. This dog-themed photoshoot not only showcased our innovative approach but also celebrated the unconditional love and joy that dogs bring into our lives. At Piegatto, we continue to push the boundaries of creativity, and who knows? Maybe next year, we'll feature cats... or perhaps even alpacas. But for now, we're basking in the success of our paw-some photoshoot, proving once again that at Piegatto, elegance is truly for every family member.
