As Piegatto continues to grow and evolve, our desire to expand and showcase our work on a global scale has never been stronger. This year, we set our sights on Salone del Mobile in Milan, an event often described as the Oscars of the furniture world. For us, this was not just another exhibition but a significant milestone—a chance to return to one of the most prestigious design events after a long-awaited revisit.

Salone del Mobile has a storied history, dating back to its inception in 1961. Over the years, it has become the ultimate stage for the world’s top furniture brands and designers to unveil their latest creations. The event is a melting pot of innovation, where tradition meets modernity, and where the future of design is often first glimpsed. From legendary Italian brands to cutting-edge international names, Salone del Mobile is where the best of the best gather to inspire and be inspired.

The organizers have introduced new exhibition layouts designed with a focus on human-centered pathways, created through collaborations between architects and neuroscientists. "Salone del Mobile will be the first trade fair to leverage neuroscience as a means of measuring visitor satisfaction and enhancing the experience within the pavilions by refining the routes," says Andrea Vaiani, the fair’s Exhibitions Director. This approach has led to a reimagined layout for EuroCucina, FTK, and the International Bathroom Exhibition, ensuring that visitors benefit from optimized pathways throughout the event.

Being in Milan also gave us the opportunity to reconnect with fellow designers who, like us, have made their mark in the industry. Meeting contemporaries like Kenneth Cobonpue, who started around the same time as we did, was both inspiring and humbling. The shared experiences, the exchange of ideas, and the mutual respect we have for each other's work made this trip even more meaningful.

Beyond the main event, we took time to explore Milan's rich design districts. We wandered through Brera, with its charming streets and vibrant galleries, absorbing the artistic atmosphere that defines the area. A visit to Fondazione Prada was another highlight, where we found ourselves captivated by the blend of contemporary art and historic architecture. Each of these experiences added layers to our understanding of design, culture, and the global influence of Italian craftsmanship.

Our return to Salone del Mobile was more than just a showcase—it was a reaffirmation of our place in the design world. We left Milan with a renewed sense of purpose, excited for the future and all the possibilities that lie ahead. As we continue to push the boundaries of design, we look forward to sharing more of our journey with you and to making our mark on the global stage, one piece at a time.

Here's to redefining design at worldwide, one inspired creation at a time.
